5.5 Bluetooth only for GDC-500H
GDC-500H supports a Bluetooth allowing you to use a wireless headset. So you can move
freely around the Handset and maintain a conversation. Before using the headset, the
headset must be “paired” with the Handset, and then the headset must be enabled for use.
Note:
During the pairing operation, the headset and Handset should be as close as
possible but not more than 1 meter apart.
Before searching a headset, the Bluetooth of GDC-500H must be activated by following the
below operation since the default is not activated.
1. Select the Bluetooth menu from the User Menu.
2. Use the
Navigation
( ) button to highlight the Bluetooth selection.
3. Press the
OK
( ) left soft button to access the sub-menu.
4. Use the Up or Down arrow of the
Navigation
( ) button to select the Activation.
5. Use the Left or Light arrow of the
Navigation
( ) button to select Yes.
6. Press the
OK
( ) left soft button to activate the Bluetooth of GDC-500H.
To pair the wireless headset to the Handset:
1. Select the Bluetooth menu from the User Menu.
2. Use the
Navigation
( ) button to highlight the Bluetooth selection.
3. Press the
OK
( ) left soft button to access the sub-menu.
4. Use the Up or Down arrow of the
Navigation
( ) button to select Device Scanning.
5. Press the
OK
( ) left soft button to search the available headset. The message
‘Not Found” is displayed if it failed.
6. The available headsets are displayed and select one. Press the
OK
( ) left soft
button to connect the headset.
7. The ‘Paring done’ message is displayed if it is successful.
To show the status of the headset, delete it, and connect it again:
1. Select the Bluetooth menu from the User Menu.
2. Use the
Navigation
( ) button to highlight the Bluetooth selection.
3. Press the
OK
( ) left soft button to access the sub-menu.
4. Use the Up or Down arrow of the
Navigation
( ) button to select Paired Device.
5. Press the
Option
( ) left soft button to set up the below items.
View : Show information of the headset such as Name and Mac address
Delete : Delete the open list
Connection : connect the headset
6. After finishing the above option, press the End ( ) button.
Note:
GDC-500H supports Bluetooth version 2.1 EDR.
Depending on the wireless environment or property of paired headset, the paired headset
may not be connected automatically. In this case, please try to manually connect.
Response time about the button action of paired headset is depending on the property of
paired headset.
