CHAPTER 14:
Groups
A group is a set of channel levels that you can recall as a single group number. A group
is just like a Normal submaster, except that a group does not have a fader like a
submaster. Groups often represent "looks" on parts of the stage that can be used as
building blocks to create cues, subs, effect steps, and other groups. There are a total of
200 groups available, which may be created in any order.
Recording Groups
Groups are created in two ways: "live" in the Stage display, or "blind" in the
Group display. Groups are created in the Stage display by creating a "look" on
stage, and then using the [RECORD GROUP] key. Using the [RECORD
GROUP] key takes an instantaneous picture of the Stage display. Parked
dimmers are not recorded.

Set channel levels to obtain the desired "look" on stage.

(If specified group already
exists, the Overwrite
Warning message appears.)

Whenever any of the three dark gray [RECORD]
keys are used, they record the channel levels that are currently active in the
Stage display, no matter what display is being viewed when the command is
entered. Parked dimmer levels are never recorded with any of the live Record
commands

When you record groups (subs, or cues), you may want to record only a
specified list of channels rather than all channels that are active on stage.
