On the

Diagnosis

tab, you can send online commands to the device see chapter 8 "Online commands" as

well as display the read results and the device status.

Furthermore, buttons are available for the following functions:

• Layout of the screen display

• Deleting and printing the screen content

• General terminal settings

Version

Requests device version information (see chapter 8.2 "General online com-
mands", command "V").

You can use this command to check whether the communication between
PC and scanner is functional. If you do not receive an acknowledgment,
please check the interface connections or the protocol.

Device Identification

Query of the serial number as well as the hardware and software versions.

Reset

Carries out a software reset. The device is restarted and reinitialized, leav-
ing it in the same state as when the operating voltage is switched on.

Factory Default

Activates the device with the factory settings.

Activate Decoding

Deactivate Decoding

Activates/deactivates decoding.

Start Continuous Decoding

Stop Continuous Decoding

Starts/stops continuous decoding.
