Connecting the voltage supply
The laser measurement system is connected using M 12 connectors. The voltage supply is
connected via the PWR M 12 connection.

3.3
Display
Once the laser measurement system is supplied with voltage, the device status as well as
the measured position values can be read on the display. The display automatically switches
to the display of the measurement values.
Use the up/down buttons
to the left of the display to read and change a wide range
of data and parameters.
Depending on connected interface, the network address or IP addresses must be
configured via the display.

Install the GSD file associated with the AMS 304

in the PROFIBUS Manager of your control.
Activate the desired modules (at least one module).
Store the slave address for the AMS 304
i
in the PROFIBUS manager. Ensure that the
address is the same as the address configured in the device.
