It is valid to install only one DIMM in DIMM slot

To replace a memory module, do the following:
1.
Open the computer cover. See “Opening the cover” on page 130.
2. Locate the memory module slots. See “System board connectors and
components” on page 129.
3. Remove any parts that might prevent access to the memory slots.
4. Open the retaining clips and remove the memory module.
5. Position the replacement memory module over the memory slot. Make sure the
notch

on the memory module aligns with the connector key

on the
system board. Push the memory module straight down into the connector until
the retaining clips close.
