REMOVAL
1.
See Fig. 1
. Cut cable ties attaching park brake
boot to lever; remove boot.
2.
See Fig. 2
. Loosen hardware on cable pulling
bracket.
3. Pull up on brake handle to free cable pulling
bracket from threads on park brake cables.
4. Remove cotter pin and cross pin holding han-
dle to bracket.
5. Remove snap ring and large clevis pin secur-
ing park brake handle.
6. Remove park brake handle.
REPLACEMENT-See Fig. 3.
1. Place new park brake lever within park brake
bracket, ensuring ratchet is secure on cross-
brace. Attach with large clevis pin using snap
ring pliers.
2. Attach cable pulling bracket to hand brake us-
ing small clevis pin and cotter key
using needle
nose pliers.
3. Adjust jam nuts on park brake cable until full
engagement of park brake is achieved with
three clicks of park brake lever. Tighten jam
nuts.
4. Reinstall park brake boot with new cable ties.
