REPLACEMENT
1.

. Support new differential under rear
of motorcycle with jack stands.
2.
See Fig. 6
. Position differential with pinion
shaft to left of motorcycle centerline and vent
tube pointing upward.
3. Use original mounting hardware to attach dif-
ferential to swingarm.
4. Make sure differential is in the highest possible
position relative to swingarm and drive shaft is
centered to bike.
CAUTION: Driveshaft interference with
swingarm housing may cause equipment
damage or lead to an accident. Verify
proper clearance and adjust as needed.

. Center differential to body using a
framer’s square. Adjust differential until equal
measurements are obtained on both sides.
6. Spin drive shaft to check clearance in both
front and rear locations.
7. Torque differential mounting bolts to
47 ft-lbs
