5. Lay the logs in alphabetical order. It is important that
the logs ‘nest’ together and sit on top of the fuel bed
peaks (Fig. 41).
6. Place the next logs on the coal bed, again ensuring
they are placed in alphabetical order (Fig. 42).
7. Lay the logs in alphabetical order ensuring that they
sit on top of the fuel bed peaks, not in between
(Fig. 43).
8. Finally position the last two logs making sure all the
gaps between the logs are even. It is important to
establish an even pattern in order to attain a balanced
flame picture and efficient combustion (Fig. 44).
