Configuring IP Settings
Two options are available for configuring the DSC IP address settings. Auto-configure
and manual. Auto-configure is preferred and is the default. Auto-configure is
accomplished by the dynamic host control protocol (DHCP). Setting an IP address
manually sets a static IP address.
1. Click the Network tab.
2. Go to Option One.
(To configure using manual means, go to Option 2.)
Option 1: Auto-configure IP address
a. Click

Network
tab.

Auto-configure IP Address

c. Select
DHCP:
Enable
.
d. Enter a DHCP hostname (optional).
e. Click
Save Profile
.
f. Continue

Option 2: Set a Static IP Address
a. Select
Manual Configure IP address
.
b. Enter an IP Address.
c. Enter a subnet mask.
d. Enter the default gateway.
e. Click
Save Profile
