System Event Log
This page allows the user to decide whether to send the system event log, and select the mode
which the system event log will be sent to client only, server only, or both client and server. What
kind of event log will be issued to the client/server depends on the selection on the
Event
Configuration
tab.
System Event Log
—Syslog Configuration
Syslog Client Mode:
Select the system log mode
—
Client Only
,
Server Only
, or
Both
.
‗Client Only‘ means the system event log will only be sent to this interface of the
switch, but on the other hand
‗Server Only‘ means the system log will only be sent to
the remote system log server with its IP assigned. If the mode is set in
‗Both‘, the
system event log will be sent to the remote server and this interface.
Syslog Server IP Address:
When the
‗Syslog Mode‘ item is set as Server Only/Both,
the user is required to assign the system log server IP address to which the log will be
sent.
Click Reload to refresh the event log displaying area.
Click Clear to clear the displaying area.
Make sure the selected mode and IP address, if needed, is correct and click Apply to
have the setting take effect.
