TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The Troubleshooting Guide, shown below, is included to help you quickly locate problems that can hap-
pen using your 875 Series Tilloll. Follow all safety precautions stated in the previous when making any ad-
justments to your machine.
PROBLEM
PROBABLE CAUSE:SOLUTION
1. DISC GANG THROWING RIDGE TO OUTSIDE
A. Unit Is Not Level:
Turn radius rod to raise front
of machine, machine must be level, front to rear,
while running at desirable depth.
B. Disc Gang Bearing Mounts On Wrong Side Of
C-spring:
Remount disc gang on top of C-spring.
C. Reel Angle Incorrect:
Check and set according
to specifications.
D. Dirt Not Flowing Under Shield Properly:
Adjust
shield.
E. Excessive Loose Dirt:
Minimize field trips - 2 to
3 trips may leave powder and cause ridging.
F. Moving Too Slowly:
Machine needs to be pulled
at least 5.5 mph.
Harrow not set correctly.
2. DISC GANG PLUGGING
A. Disc Gang Mounted Too Deep:
Check disc
gang as above, may be too deep.
B. Unit Not Level:
Check to see that machine is
level while machine is running.
C. Disc Blade Wear:
Replace disc blades.
D. Dirt Not Flowing Under Shield Properly:
Adjust
shield.
3. DISC GANG NOT TURNING IN LIGHT SOIL
A. Scrapers Adjusted Too Tight Against Blade:
Readjust scrapers.
4. DISC SCRAPER BENDING
A. Improper Pressure Against Disc Blade:
Disc
scraper must be set tight against disc blades and be
in contact for full length of scraper edge. May need
to loosen two bolts and rotate scraper blade forward
or backward to accomplish this.
