Special Torque Requirments

WARNING
Particular attention must be given to tightening the drive
wheel lug nuts, blade spindle bolts and electric clutch bolt.
Failure to correctly torque these items may result in the loss of
a wheel, blade or burnt clutch which can result in serious
damage and/or personal injury.
It is recommended that the lug nuts, spindle bolts and
electric clutch bolt be checked after the first 2 hours of
initial operation and after removal for repair or
replacement. Thereafter, they should be checked every
50 hours of operation.

Blade spindle bolts (See item 9 on page 38)

Electric Clutch bolt (See item 43 in list at top of page 38
and balloon No. 46 in Figure 5-5 on page 39.

Wheel lug nuts (See item 11 on page 48)
Refer to Figure 5-1:
•
Retighten choke and/or throttle cable clamp screws to
35 in-lbs if they work loose or are loosened to make
cable adjustments.
•
See engine owner’s manual for engine torque values.
