15.1.1 Replacing the Dirt Trap Spiral
Remove the dirt trap spiral
To do this, grasp the dirt trap spiral (Id-No. 33.15180.049000) such that you can turn it counterclockwise a whole
turn, and pull the dirt trap spiral upwards out of the mouth of the funnel.
Insert the dirt trap spiral
Reinsert the dirt trap spiral into the funnel. Try to hold the dirt trap spiral such that you can perform one counter
clockwise turn and push the dirt trap spiral from above into the mouth of the funnel.
15.1.2 Replacing the Protective Grid
Open the housing as described. Carefully lift off the inner protective cylinder. When lifting the protective cylinder,
be careful not to bump it against the weighing unit.
Press the protective grid (Id-No. 33.15184.016000) slightly upwards through one of the drain holes with the small
finger or a suitable dull object (e.g., wooden stick) and remove it with the other hand. Insert the cleaned or a new
protective grid on the side of the weighing unit into the provided gaps.
Avoid contact with the weighing unit when inserting the protective grid!
Close the housing as described.
15.1.3 Replacing the Collecting Vessel
Open the housing as described.
Carefully lift off the inner protective cylinder. When lifting the protective cylinder, be careful not to bump it against
the weighing unit.
Remove the collecting vessel (Id-No. 32.15184.004000) by gently pushing the axle pin of the collecting vessel
with the magnetic side in the direction of the reed contact against the bearing spring and tipping the axle pin on
the other bearing side. Insert the cleaned or a new collecting vessel into the axle bearing. To do so, slide the axle
pin of the collecting vessel into the bearing spring with the magnetic side in the direction of reed contact and insert
the other axle pin into the other bearing side.
Be careful when inserting!
Be careful not to cant the protective cylinder with the cables between the load cell and the main board. Close the
housing as described.
