7.1 Introduction
The electric system includes a power supply/battery
charger, a 12 V distribution control unit fitted with
fuses, and a control panel.
The battery charger automatically operates when the
vehicle is connected to a 230 V power source,
recharging both the auxiliary battery and the engine
battery (with holding power only for the latter).
The 12 V distribution control unit includes the appli-
ances controls and the tank and batteries level
controls. Each appliance control is protected by a fuse.
The 12 V distribution control unit has a provision for an
auxiliary output controlled from the panel under the
wording AUX, and it is fitted with an SOS fuse (Ecovip
series) or an emergency switch (Kreos series), for
powering the main appliances directly from the
auxiliary battery and disabling the electronic controls,
in case the control panel does not carry out its
functions anymore (first of all verify that there is water
in the fresh water tank because the pump starts
automatically).
