3.6.3 START UP
Refer to section 3.3.2 “ Truck starting
procedure ” of the Expert 2000 Operator ’ s
Manual.
Prior to beginning waste collection, make sure
that the crusher panel is fully raised and the
right-hand side hopper door is opened and
locked in place. An interlock system (limit
switches) prevents the arm from working if
the door is not open or if the crusher panel is
not up (See chapter 15 of the Maintenance
Manual).
3.6.4 LOADING ROLLER CART
The Helping Hand automated arm is operated
from inside the cab using a joystick, located
near the driving position (figure #3.44). A red
trigger switch on the joystick, enables all
hydraulic functions of the arm. The trigger
switch has to be maintained during any arm
operation. Releasing the trigger will stop the
arm where it is.

Figure #3.45 shows basic movements of the
arm while moving the joystick. The joystick is
also provided with a push button which is
located on top of the joystick. This push button
controls the opening and the closing of the
grabber. Refer to the loading procedure next
page.
