Shut-Down Instructions
If the heater is to be shut down for cleaning, mainte-
nance, or repair, follow steps 1-5. Otherwise, set the ther-
mostat below room temperature for standard shut-down.

switch. Doing so will remove power to the
heater, preventing cooling of heat cham-
ber. The burner end high limit switch will
trip.
1. Close the gas supply valve.
2. Allow the heater to burn off any fuel gas remaining in
the gas supply line.
3. Set the thermostat below room temperature.
When

fan motor will continue to run for 1 min-
ute, allowing the heat chamber to cool.

4. Position selector switch to off O
5. Disconnect the heater from its gas and electrical
supplies.
Gas Selector Valve
The heater is shipped from the factory with the fuel
selector valve in the propane gas (LP) position.
(QVXUHWKHIXHOVHOHFWRUYDOYH·VKDQGOHLVSURSHUO\
positioned for the fuel being used.
1. This feature allows the heater to operate on either pro-
pane or natural gas without changing out the burner
RUL¿FH7KHJDVVHOHFWRUYDOYHLVORFDWHGEHWZHHQ
the gas control valve and the burner. Gas selection
is made by repositioning the valve’s handle. THIS IS
NOT A MANUAL GAS SHUT OFF VALVE.
2. Refer to Figs. 12 and 13. The valve handle must be

otherwise the unit will overheat or underheat.
