4. Removed the four bolts using a 1/2 inch open ended
wrench.
■
Ensure motor and fan pulleys are properly aligned
when reinstalling.
■
Motor bearings are permanently lubricated.
Fan Housing Removal
1. Remove fan belt. See belt replacement procedure.
2. Remove fan motor. See fan motor section.
3. Locate and remove the four bolts at the base of the
fan housing. See below.
4. Locate and remove the eight sheet metal screws.
See drawing below.
5. Pull fan wheel housing out.
Fan Wheel Replacement
1. Remove the fan belt. See Belt Replacement
Procedures.
2. Remove the fan shaft pulley. See Fan and Motor
Pulleys
Procedures.
3. Loosen all allen set screws on the fan shaft, including
the set screw on the fan wheel hub.
4. Pull the fan shaft through the fan wheel and bearing
mount
brackets.
5. Lower the fan wheel to get access to the bearing
mount bracket nuts behind the fan housing side.
6. Remove fan housing ring screws.
7. Remove fan wheel.
NOTE: When installing new fan wheel, ensure the fan
wheel hub is on the same side as the motor pulley.
