5. Open the tank valve.
6. Check all connections with an approved leak detec-
tor. Close the tank’s cover.
7. When storing or transporting the heater, ensure the
connector’s

tting is protected from damage and
dirt entry.
NATURAL GAS HEATERS
--- The regulator should be used only if the supply
pressure to the heater is above the maximum inlet
pressure of 13.5 in. W .C. (3.36 kPa).
---- Connect the regulator to the natural gas supply
line using the proper plumbing devices.
Air Adjustment Gate
NOTE:
Adequate combustion air must be achieved
for complete and proper combustion.
This heater’s air adjustment gate is factory set to
operate normally at 0-2,000 ft. above sea level. The
air gate will require adjustment if the heater is to
operate above 2,000 ft.. For service in adjusting of the

burner chassis is not put in place. Therefore,
the burner chassis cover
must
be in place
when making the
fi
nal combustion instru-
ment readings, to ensure proper test results.
Thermostat
The optional remote thermostat is a fully enclosed NEMA
4X with a single stage temperature adjustment (±3°F/-
16°C degrees). L.B. White part # 500-30125.
If thermostat is not needed or required, select manual
setting on thermostat switch.
If thermostat is required, plug the male prong of thermo-
stat cord to thermostat outlet of the heater and select
thermostat setting on thermostat switch.
