Safety Lock-Out
This heater is equipped with interlocking safety
devices. In the event of a failure while the burner is
in operation, or if the burner air supply is obstructed,
the burner will “lock-out”. If this happens, the reset
button on the burner controller will illuminate to
RED.
TO RESET THE CONTROL BOX
Push and hold the reset button on the burner
controller for 1 to 2 seconds.
The burner will restart after a 1 second pause once
the button is released.
DIAGNOSTICS MODE
The controller features diagnostics which identi
fi
es
the cause of malfunction in the heater.
To use the feature, wait at least 10 seconds once
the heater has entered lock-out mode (steady RED
light). Press and hold the reset button for more
than 3 seconds or until a yellow light pulses to
inform you the operation is completed. Release the
button and a red light will pulse a number of times
to identify the malfunction that occurred. Refer to
the troubleshooting section for further information.
■
The controller has only one ignition trial. If igni-
tion is not achieved, the ignition burner control
will enter “lock-out” mode.
■
It is normal for air to be trapped in gas hose on
new installations. The heater may require several
trials for ignition before air is
fi
nally purged from
line and ignition takes place.

EXCHANGER)
Note: When either the thermostat cycles the heater
off or the selector switch is in the OFF position, the
main fan motor will continue to operate. This is the
cool down post purge of the heat exchanger. During
this process the LED

post purge, the heater will shut-off.
