Macintosh Configuration 6-9

• Download- enables the user to download fonts to the printer.

• Send File- enables the user to send a file directly from the utility to the printer.

• General- offers a variety of network and other configuration options which are

explained in the following section.

6.5.1 Network and Other Configuration Options

The General Printer Options in the FS-Series Utility govern the network and other
features of the FS-Series printers. Selecting the General button from the FS-Series
Utility main window displays the following screen:

The functions offered on this screen are described below:

• Reset Printer- issues a reset command to the printer.

• Rename Printer- enables the user to rename the AppleTalk printer name. This

change will effect the printer name as it appears in the FS-Series Utility and on the
Network Status page under AppleTalk Printer Name.
