Creating the Print Queue under NetWare 3.xx
1. Run the Pconsole.exe file.
* The procedure to run the Pconsole.exe file differs according to the version of NetWare in use. The
procedure for running this file under NetWare 3.2 is explained in
A

below.

To login to NetWare 3.2, click on Start in the Task Bar and select Netware(Common) from the
resulting menu. Then select Netware Login in the submenu that is displayed.

Type in the user name (the administrator’s user name for the NetWare Server) and password in
the appropriate fields, and then click on OK.

Use the Windows Explorer to select the NetWare Server. Select SYS and then Public to access
the Pconsole.exe file. Run that file.
2. Click on Print Queue Information in the Available Options box within the PCONSOLE window and
then press the Enter key on the keyboard. The Print Queues box will appear.
3. Press the Insert key on the keyboard once the Print Queues box is open. Press Esc to return to the
Available Options box.
4. Type in the desired queue name under New Print Queue Name and then press the Enter key once
again.
5. Press Esc as many times as necessary until the Exit PConsole window appears and then click on
Yes.

Registering NetWare Users
Perform the following procedure to register those users who will be allowed to use the Queue Server. The
example procedure below is for registering users under NetWare 3.2.
* Make sure Novell's Client32 is installed before registering NetWare users.
1. Run the sysconw.exe file on the NetWare Server.
2. Use the right mouse button to click on Users in the system hierarchy. The Create User dialogue box
will appear.
3. Type in the desired user name in the appropriate field.
* It is not necessary to type in anything other than your user name.
4. Click on OK. The Select path for home directory dialogue box will appear. Type in the desired
path.
Note: Consult with your NetWare Administrator when entering the path.
5. Click on OK. Registration of that user name is complete.
