100 HOUR
Plow
Check Shear Mounts
Check shear mounts for wear every 100 hours.
Replace as needed.
Test Plow Connector Pivots
Test upper and lower connector pivots every 100
hours.
To test upper pivot:
1. Lower plow to ground.
2. Use plow lift control to put hydraulic load on
pivot joints. Do not raise plow.
3. As hydraulic load is applied and released,
visually check joints for motion. If motion is
observed, contact your Ditch Witch
®
dealer.
To test lower pivot:
1. Lower plow to ground.
2. Use hydraulic jack to place load on lower arm.
3. As hydraulic load is applied and released, visually check joints for motion. If motion is observed,
contact your Ditch Witch dealer.
IMPORTANT: When replacing shear mounts, it
is important to compress the shear mounts with
the washers to prevent the shear mount from
tearing.
IMPORTANT: Lower plow blade to ground and visually inspect bushings and joints. Replace bushings if
there is excessive motion.
