3.1 Checking the condition upon delivery
1. On transfer of goods, check each packaging unit for damage.
2. In the event of in-transit damage, assess the exact damage, document it and
notify KSB or the supplying dealer and the insurer about the damage in writing
immediately.
3.2 Transport

Damage to the pump set!

Use tested, marked and approved lifting accessories only.
▷
The load-carrying capacity of the lifting accessory must be greater than the
weight indicated on the name plate of the product to be lifted.
▷
Use the attachment point provided for attaching the lifting accessory.
▷
Never suspend the pump set by its power cable.
▷
Never enter the area underneath suspended load.
▷
Observe the regional transport regulations.
Transport the lifting accessory as illustrated.

3.2.1 Placing down the lifting accessory
WARNING
Placing the lifting accessory on unsecured and uneven surfaces
Personal injury and damage to property!

Only place the lifting accessory on a solid and level surface.
▷
Only place the lifting accessory on a surface of sufficient load-carrying capacity.
▷
Use appropriate means to secure the lifting accessory against tilting or tipping
over.
3.3 Storage/preservation
Storage
If the ambient conditions for storage are met, the function of the lifting accessory is
safeguarded even after a prolonged period of storage.
