Basic setting
5.1 Height of the tractor lower link
arms
The height of the tractor lower link arms should be set so
that the lower link arm pins are
H approx. 63 cm
above the ground.
Fix the lower link arms at this height.
(see also Point 8.2)
Keep a safe distance from the swather
disk when it's turning! Before switching
on the PTO shaft, ensure that no-one
could be caught by the swather disk.
When the PTO shaft is running, the
swather arms may only be raised to
just before their stops.

Basic setting
The basic setting should be undertaken on even
surfaces.
5.2 Setting the working depth
Initially the working depth should be set so that the tine
points just contact the ground. If necessary this setting
must be corrected during use.
Note the following:
When the setting is too high the feed will not be
completely harvested.
When the setting is too low there is a risk that the feed
will be soiled, the greensward may be damaged and
increased wear of the twin-spring tines.
The working depth is set by means of the crank handles
(1), located on the left- and right-hand swather disk
arm.
