Handling the swather when in use
4.3.5 Moving the external guard bars into
working position
• Switch on operation device (0 >1), wait for green
light
• Move switch (6) into the left-hand or right-hand
position (left-/right-hand swather disk arm)
• Actuate tractor control valve
Do not raise the swather disk bar above
the permitted working position when in
the transport position, as long as the
tractor PTO shaft is switched on.
Special care is required when using the
swather with a raised rotary disk!
No-one may remain in the working
range!
When lifting the rotors for the headland
turns, always raise both rotors up to
the limit stop of the locking device.

Fold external lateral guard bars (1) at the front left and
right of the machine into working position and lock them
with the hitch pin (2). Secure hitch pin (2) with hairpin
clip (3).

Turn the external lateral guard bars (1) at the front left
and right-hand sides of the machine, outwards into the
working position and lock with retaining pins (2). Secure
retaining pin with spring pin.
Do not touch the guard bars near the
hinge points. Danger of bruising!
