Mark the conveyor belt above and below at intervals of
X=1,000 mm
.
In order to tension the conveyor belt, tighten the clamping screws (4) at position (III) and (IV)
until the dimension is
X=1,005 mm
.
Tighten the counter nuts (5) at position (III) and (IV).
Tighten the nuts (3) at position (III) and (IV),
Manually turn the conveyor belt through one or two revolutions until the marks are visible
again.
Check the marks.
ð
If the dimension is
X=1,005 mm
, the setting is correct.
ð
If the dimension X is
not
1,005 mm, retension the conveyor belt.
Lower the cross conveyor belts,
Engage the PTO shaft and observe the conveyor belt movement from a safe distance.
Check/correct the running direction of the conveyor belts
Change the setting of the conveyor belt only slightly (one or two revolutions on the clamping
screws (4)).
After each setting perform a test run and check the marks (x).
In order to avoid that the conveyor belt is overtensioned, make the adjustments on one side
only. This means that the clamping screw that was clamped beforehand must be loosened.
If the individual dimensions of the marks are not below 1,005 mm or above 1,008 mm a
difference between above and below is still correct.
Shut down and safeguard the machine,
