Operator-friendly solenoid
control unit
4.1 General information
The operator-friendly solenoid control unit is used to
monitor and control the loading and emptying processes.
The cutter 0 circuit and the automatic scraper-floor
circuit are monitored using sensors. Indicator lamps
signal the operating state of the cutter 0 system, the
scraper floor and the locking system for the steering axle
(special fitting).
The loading process can be controlled manually or
automatically. The articulated tow-bar, the pick-up and
the cutter unit must be operated from the operator-
friendly control unit.
The feeder wagon is fitted with solenoid valves. Switch
the hydraulic control system on the tractor to „Pressure“
(oil icirculation) and arrest the control lever in this
position. The desired hydraulic functions are activated
by operating the corresponding electric switches.
The pick-up can be operated independently of the other
functions. The other ram functions (articulated tow-bar,
rear flap, cutter 0 circuit) can be operated independently
of the scraper floor and pick-up functions. However, the
electric switches for the ram functions must be returned
to the neutral position after the function has been carried
out.
When travelling on the road, it is advisable to switch off
the tractor hydraulic system in order to prevent the oil
from circulating and heating up unnecessarily.
•
Risk of injury
•
The hydraulic system on the machine (wagon) is under pressure. The scraper floor or the rear
flap can be set in motion unintentionally.
•
During maintenance work on the short-cut feeder wagon, it is vitally important to isolate the
operator-friendly control unit from the power supply.
•
Repair work on the hydraulic system must only be carried out by a trained specialist.
4.2 Special safety instructions
When carrying out welding work on the
short-cut feeder wagon or the tractor
with the short-cut feeder wagon
attached, the electronic system of the
operator-friendly control unit may be
damaged by electrical surges. For this
reason, remove the operator-friendly
control box from the tractor and
disconnect the cables.
