2. Click the
Display Status
icon for the Participant of whom you would like to take control.
The selected Display Status icon turns blue and the Display Control icon for that
participant appears.
The selected participant is put into Presentation mode and his device screen appears on
the main display.
3. Click the
Display Control
icon.
The Display Control icon turns blue,
and you have taken control of the participant’s
device.
Any participant can now control this device by starting Collaboration mode
(see

enables you to use the touchscreen on your laptop for

To enable laptop touch screen collaboration:
1. Click the VIA icon in your computer taskbar.
The taskbar menu appears.
2. Click
Settings
.
The client preferences screen appears.
3. Select the
Use touch screen for collaboration
checkbox.
Touch screen collaboration is enabled.
Collaboration Scenario
For simplicity, a scenario with only two users is described below.
In the following scenario:
•
User #1 is sharing a spreadsheet from their device.
•
User #2 is collaborating with User #1’s spreadsheet.
The scenario proceeds as follows:
1. User #1 opens his spreadsheet, presents it on the main display (see
) and enables control of his device (see
).
At any time, User #1 can click
Enable Control
again to stop other users from controlling
his computer.

User #2, who can now see User #1’s content on the main display, clicks
Start
Collaboration
) and moves her cursor
past the top of her screen and onto the main display.
A
cursor with User #2’s nickname and a unique color appears on the screen.
