(1) Block configuration diagram
(2) Descriptions of block
’
s functions
Components include MEAN calculating the total of input images data and the PEAK value, AVERAD-DR
generating data (ADDROUT[4..0]) to adjust the number of SUSTAIN pulses, based on such total value, and
TRANS LOGIC transmitting PEAK DATA and ADDROUT[4..0] to the X/Y CONTROLLER in a serial manner.
The following are detailed descriptions of block
’
s functions.
● MEAN Block
Calculates the total of R,G and B image data and the PEAK value inputted from the DATA SWITCH block.
The total of image data is calculated by extracting input signals by 50%, and the upper 12bits and 8bits of this
total is transmitted to the AVERADDR block and the CONTRAST block
’
s COEFFICIENT sub-block,
respectively, via synchronizing by V_SYNC.
● AVERADDR Block
Generates ADDROUT[4..0] as control inputs controlling the number of SUSTAIN pulses on X/Y in 32 steps,
by identifying the LOAD RATIO from AVR_IN[11.0], the total of image signals, inputted from the MEAN block.
ADDROUT[4..0] has a kind of HYSTERISYS feature to make AVR_IN[11.0] have different boundary values
between it
’
s increase and decrease, in order to prevent concurrent vibrations when AVR_IN[11.0] vibrates on
the boundary value.
● TRANS Block
Transmits ADDROUT[4..0] and PEAK[2..0] data to the X/Y CONTROL block in a serial manner using 3bits of
SCLK, SDATA and SCREEN.
