5.6. Accessing the System Event Log
To access the SEL:
System Monitor ShMC CLI (serial, SSH)
Dashboard > System Event Log
The list of all events collected by the System
Monitor is displayed
To view the SEL status:
ipmitool> sel
To view the SEL:
ipmitool> sel list
A list of events sent to the ShMC is displayed
To delete the SEL:
ipmitool> sel clear
Notes
The System Monitor collects all events from
all system components regardless of the
system components in its own event log

To view system sensor information:

ipmitool> sensor list
Notes
System information is displayed in the following order:
Sensor name
Analog reading reading for analog sensor and 0x0 for
discrete sensor
Type unit for analog sensor and discrete for discrete
sensor
Sensor status ok or not ok for analog sensor and bites for
discrete sensor
Threshold values (last 6 columns): lower non-recoverable,
lower critical, lower non-critical, upper non-critical, upper
critical, upper non-recoverable
