Airflow Impedance
In order to determine the cooling requirements of the AM4011, the airflow impedance of a Mid-
size and a Full-size AM4011 module has been determined via simulation. No card guides or
struts have been used for the simulations because the resulting airflow impedance depends on
individual configuration of the AMC carrier or MicroTCA system.
The following figure shows the impedance curves of a Mid-size and a Full-size AM4011
module.

The following table indicates the pressure drop at 10, 20, 30, and 40 CFM volumetric flow rates.
