6.8.14 EXT Trigger type
Selects the external trigger pulse polarity.
Selections: OFF/ (Triggered on the leading edge) / (Triggered on the trailing edge)
Selections:
OFF : No external sounder to be connected
: Selects a positive sync trigger supplied from an external sounder.
: Selects a negative sync trigger supplied from an external sounder.
Initial setting: OFF
6.8.15 Language
Selects the screen language.
Selections: Japanese, English

6.9 Customize
The following sub menus are available:
6.9.1 GAIN property
Selects the receiver gain characteristic according to your fishing type, type of fish, etc. Available
characteristics are Linear type and 8800 type (Logarithmic law).
Linear type: The receiver gain varies in a linear law in proportion to the Gain control, best suited to
shallow water fishing or detecting weak echoing school of fish.
“8800” type: The receiver gain varies in a logarithmic law, rapid in change at the beginning and slow
afterwards. This property is useful in deep sea fishing to locate school of fish and the species.

Initial setting: 8800 type
6.9.2 STC property
STC is an abbreviation of Sensitivity Time Control, which is used to reduce weak echoes such as
plankton, floating marine plants, etc. near the sea surface in order to view a school of fish in good
clarity. The rate of sensitivity reduction can be selected from Linear or 8800 (Log) type.
