Using menus
6.8.9 Sonic correction
Corrects the depth indicator value to a known true value. A depth indication may deviate from a true
value because of the water temperature difference or salt concentration in the water. This setting
compensates such deviation.
Selections: -7 to +2%
Initial setting: 0 %
6.8.10 Water Temp correction
Compensates the deviation of a temperature value supplied from the speed/temperature sensor
(ST-80-1, ST-90-1 or ST-100-1)
Selections: -10.0 to +10.0
Initial setting: 0.0
6.8.11 Boat Speed correction
Compensates the deviation of a boat speed value supplied from the speed/temperature sensor
(ST-80-1, ST-90-1 or ST-100-1)
Selections: -10.0 to +10.0
Initial setting: 0.0
6.8.12 Speed data
Displays the boat speed data supplied from a speed sensor. The speed sensor can be supplied from a
dedicated temperature/speed sensor or from a navigation receiver via the connector described below.
INT:
This connector is used when the speed data is taken from a dedicated speed sensor
(ST-80-1/90-1/100-1). When no data is supplied, “0.0” will be shown in the speed data window.
EXT:
This connector is used when the speed data is supplied from an external sensor or navigation
receiver in NMEA format. When no data is supplied, “xxx.x” will be shown in the speed data
window. (NOTE: The data format must be NMEA 0183 ver1.5 or 2.0)
Selections: INT, EXT
Initial setting: EXT
6.8.13 Water Temp data
Displays the temperature data supplied from a water temperature sensor or a navigation receiver that
supplies NMEA 0183 data. Select INT or EXT in the Water Temp Data sub menu for available sensor
or NMEA data.
INT:
Selects KODEN water temperature sensor ST-80-1/90-1/100-1. In case no water temperature
data is supplied, “0.0” will be displayed in the water temperature digital window.
EXT:
Selects NMEA 0183 ver. 1.5 or 2.0 serial data supplied from a navigation receiver. In case no
