Using the front dial, select the number of exposures in the series.
If you are using a
studio strobe or
portable flash, it is
recommended that
you use a slow shutter
speed to give the
strobe or flash time to
recycle. In this way,
you avoid taking
underexposed images
caused by strobes that
have not fully
recycled.
The single autofocus icon
appears in the handgrip display.
5.
Release the shoot options button.
6.
Push the shutter release button, and hold it down.
The camera takes a series of exposures, with the lens shifting focus for each exposure.
Locking the autofocus without locking the exposure setting
If you are taking a shot where the light conditions vary, and you want to have ability to use autoexposure,
lock the autofocus without locking the autoexposure.

Set the AF switch to
S
or
C
.
2.
Focus on a high-contrast subject at the same distance as your subject.
3.
Push and hold the AF button.
The autofocus locks.
You can now position the camera and take a shot of the desired subject. Release the AF button after you
have taken your shot.
