5.5 Using the grinding machine for the first time

Place the grinding machine at the installation site on a level base.

Level out any uneven floors by adjusting the machine feet (see Chapter 3.4, Figure 3-2/6) with a
flat wrench (SW17). Check the machine for correct horizontal and vertical positioning by laying an
appropriate machine water level on the respective guide rails.

Dismantle all the handling devices on the machine. Ensure that all the axes can be moved freely.

Completely install and inspect the protective equipment before commissioning.

Be sure to have all the safety devices checked by trained personnel
before commissioning.
