Maintenance
8.1
General
The technically sound condition and the constant readiness of the mower for operation are
achieved by systematic maintenance which contributes to increased productivity and prolongs
its service life.
Compliance with the established terms of maintenance is mandatory.
Maintenance of the machine should be carried out with its use and storage.
Mower should be regularly subjected to maintenance (SM) on a shift basis every 8-10 hours
of operation and seasonal maintenance when staged and removed from winter storage.
8.2
Maintenance activities
8.2.1
List of works performed at SM
The following is required at shift maintenance:
• clean the machine of dirt, dust and debris;
• check the reliability of fastening of rotors and knives;
• check the tension of V-belts and stretch them as necessary;
• check the integrity of the protective awning and its fastening, if necessary, repair defects;
• evaluate the technical condition of the machine, eliminate the identified malfunctions;
• lubricate the mower as per item 8.3 of this Operating Manual.
8.2.2
List of works performed in preparation for storage
When preparing for storage, the following is required:
• carry out works on shift maintenance;
• preserve movable and adjustable threaded surfaces;
• high-pressure hose, knives, belts, tent should be removed from the machine for storage in a
specialized place;
• repair damaged machine coloring.
8.2.3
List of works performed during storage
Periodically during storage, inspect the mower with the elimination of identified violations of its
technical condition once every two months.
