13.3 POWER BATTERY (11 AH)
The POWER battery (48V and 11 Ah) is box-shaped and secured to the connection with a latching system (Figure 36).
On the top of the battery, there are markings along which some LEDs show the current charge level. Pressing the button, the LEDs
will show the approximate charge level, in four levels (20%-50%-80%-100%) and will automatically activate the battery, powering
the motor and the display (Figure 37). Use the same button to disable the battery (therefore the LEDs turn off).
The key, placed beside the battery, can be used to remove the entire unit from the device; by turning it, the battery is released and
it can be removed by pulling it forward and upward (Figures 38 and 39).
To charge the battery:
•
Turn the device off (by pressing and holding the “
POWER
” button);
•
Remove the battery by turning the key (Figures 38 and 39).
•
Remove the protection cap located on top of the battery (Figure 40).
•
Connect the battery charger's plug (Figure 41);
•
Connect the battery charger's plug to the 230V 50 Hz mains (Figure 34);
•
The two LED lights on the upper surface of the battery charger (Figure 35) show its status:
o
Red-red: charging;
o
Green-red: charging complete, fully charged battery.
•
When the battery is fully charged, first disconnect the plug from the mains socket and only then remove the plug from the
battery.
