LCD screen disappears
Is it not a sleep function?
When the sleep function is set, the LCD screen automatically switches off after
a certain period of inactivity. The default setting is for the lights to turn off after
3 minutes of inactivity.

Is it not an auto power-off function?
If the auto power off function is set, the power will automatically switch off
and the LCD screen will turn off if no operation is performed for more than a
certain period of time with the USB cable unconnected. The default setting is
to switch off the power after 5 minutes of inactivity.


LCD screen is dark.
Have you changed the backlight setting?
Adjust the backlight in the menu screen under 'Settings' - 'Backlight'.
Pomera is not recognised by the PC
Is the 'PC Link' set up?
When the unit is connected to a PC, the PC will not recognise the unit unless 'PC
Link' is set. Set [Tools] - [PC Link] on the menu screen.


Is the USB cable securely connected?
Securely connect both ends of the USB cable to the USB terminals on the
unit and the PC.
Is there a password set?
If a password has been set, the PC will not recognise it unless the correct
password is entered when the PC link is started. Enter the correct password or
switch the password off from the menu screen under 'Settings' - 'Password'.
