* OPC and PCA
: When a disc which has not been finalized is loaded in the CD recorder, it perform test writing
in a specific area in the disc in order to calculate the optimum laser irradiation intensity and
time for the disc. This operation is referred to as the OPC (Optimum Power Control)
processing and the area in which test writing is performed is referred to as PCA (Power
Calibration Area).
