1. Insert a cassette tape.

(The “TAPE” input is selected automatically.)
The cassette tape cannot be loaded or ejected while the unit is in standby
mode. Do not force load a cassette tape in standby mode, otherwise
malfunction will result.

Do not use a cassette tape with more than 90-minute recording time, for the tape used with such a cassette is very
thin and tends to cause troubles such as entanglement around the pinch roller or cutting of tape.

During playback, the tape running direction changes each time the TAPE

key is pressed.

The cassette deck can play back Normal (TYPE ), High-position (TYPE ) and Metal

) tapes.

Remove tape slack before loading.
Insert the cassette tape straight into
the insertion slot. Just push lightly
and the cassette will be pulled auto-
matically inside, and TAPE IN indica-
tor lights.
