6. Can I change the Primary Speaker as the left channel?
• By default, the Primary Speaker is the right channel and the Secondary speaker is
the left channel. After connecting the speakers to your home Wi-Fi network, you can
inverse the L/R channels in the KEF Connect App.
7. Do I need to pair the two speakers?
• The Primary and Secondary Speakers are paired once the supplied USB-C
Interspeaker cable is connected. If you do not hear any sound from the Secondary
Speaker, see chapter “Troubleshooting”.
8. Can I rename the speaker?
• Yes, renaming can be done in the KEF Connect App. This will change the name for
both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.
9. Can I use the speakers without a Wi-Fi network?
• Although it is possible to use the speakers without going through the onboarding
process by enabling the non Wi-Fi mode or non wireless mode, we do not
recommend doing so.
• By doing so, you will miss out on important features, bug fixes and improvements that
are included in the firmware updates.
• We suggest to first onboard the speakers via a Wi-Fi network. This allows you to
check for and apply any firmware updates which are important for you to fully enjoy
all features and improvements. After the update, you can use the speakers with or
without the Wi-Fi network according to your preferences and requirements.
10. Can I use my own USB-C cable for interspeaker connection?
• We do not recommend using USB-C cables from other manufacturers for
LSX II LT interspeaker connection. The supplied interspeaker cable has proprietary
configurations to meet the performance that we aim to achieve.
• As there are numerous commercially available USB cables with different
configurations, it would be hard to determine if certain cable models work with LSX II
LT, ensuring no safety concerns.
• If you really want to use your own cable, make sure that the cable supports USB 3.0
or above, and PD 3.0 or above
• Note that KEF will not be liable for malfunctions or property damage caused by third
party cables.
