2.Maintenance information
Crankcase blow-by system
Pull out the plug from the lower end of the drain
pipe to drain the internal deposits.
Valve clearance adjustment
Remove the cylinder head cover
Remove the timing inspection hole cover on the
cooling fan cover.
Turn the crankshaft clockwise with a T-shaped wrench
to align the "T" mark on the generator flywheel with
the mark on the crankcase, and the top dead center mark
on the cam sprocket, and also level the top of the cylinder
head. The other half of the cam sprocket is a single circle.
The hole faces upwards (the piston is at the top dead
center of the compression stroke).
NOTE
Riding in rainy conditions or at full throttle, the
maintenance schedule needs to be shortened,
and any deposits can be seen on the transparent
section of the drain pipe.
NOTE
When the engine cools down (below 35
℃
),
check and adjust the valve clearance.
