4 Servicing after 160 operating hours | 4.1 Cleaning and exchanging the chuck

Note

If the chuck cannot be dismantled by hand, use the two tools included in the deliv‐

ery to dismantle the chuck.
▶ Position the fork wrench SW 13 ① on the double-flat of the spindle and dismount

the chuck at the front hexagon socket using ring wrench SW 10 ② in anticlock‐

wise direction.

▶ Remove the chuck (Mat. no. 1.007.8808).

Cleaning the spindle and chuck

NOTICE

Inappropriate cleaning of the spindle and chuck.
Damage to the spindle and chuck.

▶ Never use ultrasound, steam cleaner or compressed air for cleaning.

▶ Make sure that no cleaning agents get into the inside of the spindle.

▶ Lubricate the thread of the chuck lightly with lubrication oil (Mat. no. 0.489.3456).

▶ Only use the paintbrush and brush from the care set for cleaning.

Note

If the chuck cannot be dismantled by hand, the chuck (Mat. no. 1.007.8808) must

be replaced.
▶ Clean the chuck mount and chuck with a brush or a paintbrush.

▶ Lightly oil the thread of the chuck.

▶ Clean the spindle by rotating in anticlockwise direction using the spiral cleaning

brush 1.011.4800.
