THE POWER SUPPLY MODULE -SPS48

The  SPS48  Power  Supply  Module  is  located  right  below  the  plastic  inner  cover  that
covers the RNT48 and PWT48 transformers.

The SPS48 is a switched mode type power supply. The SPS48, which receives 2 x 15
VAC voltages from the PWT48 Power Transformer, gen5 VDC, +12 VDC and
–24 VDC for system operation, accessories and the RNT48 Ringer Transformer. The
ringer  voltage  (64  Vrms)  that  is  at  the  output  of  the  RNT48  transformer  is  directly
transmitted to the MB48IP motherboard.

Moreover, KTS (serial data line) connectors are available on the SPS48 for KY16 Mini
Printer,  consoles,  DSS  modules  and  the  IA12  ISDN  Adaptor.  The  Busy  and  Data
signals  on  those  connectors  are  not  processed  by  SPS48;  rather  they  are  only
received by the MB48IP

 

Motherboard and transmitted to the accessories.
