OTHER CONNECTIONS
EXTERNAL MUSIC SOURCE CONNECTION
An external music source (tape or CD player, radio) can be employed as a source for
“Background Music” and “Music On Hold” in the system. In order to connect the
source, wires from the headset output of the music source are connected to the 2-pin
music connector that is on the upper left corner of the MB48IP
motherboard. From
then on, the music emission of the exchange to extensions or lines is made from that
music source, according to the settings to be made by the operator.
EXTERNAL RELAY CONNECTION
The relay on the MB48IP motherboard functions through programming as a switch for
the hardware below:
a. Door Opener
b. External Ringer
c. External Announcement System
d. External Music Source
Two wires (the one that carries mains power, the one that controls on/off action, etc.)
that are to control the desired device are attached directly to the 2-pin external relay
connector that is on the MB48IP motherboard. Following that step, the system
supervisor enters through programming the code that is to determine the usage
purpose of the external relay and the relay becomes ready to operate.
DOOR PHONE CONNECTION
In case a DY01 door phone is to be hooked up to the exchange, the connection is
made to the “DIA” connector, which is located at the upper left corner of the
motherboard. The cable to be used with that connector, whose connection type is
RJ11, comes with the DY01.
