TECHNICAL REFERENCE
The MS48IP exchange is a modular system, which has IP technology integrated, with
both analog and IP ports. The system, by way of its modular and hybrid structure,
supports 4-24 trunks and 12-64 extensions. The system supports SIP protocol on the
IP side.
The exchange basic capacity is 8 lines and 20 extensions and can be increased to
high capacities by installing expansion cards between the MS48IP motherboard and
the EXP48IP VoIP card. Besides, thanks to an additional slot for the IP expansion, the
system IP channel capacity can also be increased.
EXP48IP VoIP Card is also equipped with the capability of both receiving the number
information pertaining to the calling party (Caller ID) on calls coming over lines and
distributing that information, as well as the number information pertaining to the calling
extension on internal calls, to the telephones of the extensions with the Caller ID
feature. Thanks to that card, the extensions with SMS-compatible (Short Message
Service) telephones can send and receive SMS messages over analog lines.
The MS48IP system basically consists of these parts:

Ø EXP48 Capacity Expansion Modules
Ø EXP48IP VoIP Module

The basic capacity of the system is 4 analog trunk and 4 IP trunk, 12 analog
extensions and 8 IP extensions, but that capacity can be increased to 84 ports in total
by expansion modules. Expansion modules with different capacities and technologies
are available for that:

The EXP48 (2/6) Module (At most 1 of them can be installed.)

The EXP48 (4/12) Module (At most 2 of them can be installed.)
·
The EXP48 (0/16) Module (At most 1 of them can be installed.)
·
VOIP48 4 Channel DSP Expansion Module (At most 1 of them can be installed.)*
·
VOIP48 8 Channel DSP Expansion Module (At most 1 of them can be installed.)*
* Only one DSP expansion module can be add to the system.
