Who may remedy faults?
 Operator
Work designated with the sign “Opera-
tor” may only be carried out by persons
who have been instructed in the safe
operation and maintenance on the high
pressure plant.
 Electricians
Only persons with a professional train-
ing in the electro-technical area.
 Customer Service
Work designated with the sign “Cus-
tomer Service” may only be done by the
fitters of Kärcher Customer Service.
Troubleshooting

Full pressure does not build up
in the high pressure pump Suction site pipe leaking. Check screw fittings and hoses. Operator
Water shortage Ascertain cause and rectify it. Operator
Valve in the pump defective, high-
pressure solenoid valve does not
close. Replace defective components. Customer Service
Sieve in the dirt catcher is dirty See section "Clean sieve". Operator
High pressure pump is knock-
ing; manometer is swaying wild-
ly Advance pressure too low in the
swimmer tank. Increase the fill level, clean the suction lines. Operator
Pump is sucking air. Check suction system and remove leaks. Operator
Pressure tank is defect Replace pressure tank Operator
Valve plate or valve spring is defec-
tive. Replace defective components. Customer Service
Advance pump calcified or defec-
tive. Check advance pump. Operator
Overflow volume is exhausted
into the atmosphere, or safety
valve is triggered Hose between volume control and
swimmer tank burst. Replace the hose. Operator
Flow regulator defective. Repair or replace the volume control. Customer Service
In spite of full volume transfer,
water flows back into the swim-
mer tank. System calcified. Decalcify the system (see Care and Mainte-
