Installing the KT-
3LED-PLATE
For the arm/disarm operation, install the 3-LED plate (Kantech part number KT-3LED-PLATE) according
to UL 1076 standards by following this procedure:
For the KT-400 Section:
1. Connect the LED black wire to GND AUX (which is associated with the green and red LEDs).
2. Connect the LED red wire to NO Relays (which is associated with the red LED).
3. Connect the LED red wire to NC Relays (which is associated with the green LED).
4. From AUX, use the 12-V cable and connect it to C Relays (which are associated with the red and
green LEDs).
For the KT-300 Section:
1. Connect the LED black wire to GND AUX (which is associated with the red and green LEDs).
2. Connect the LED red wire to RL2 (which is associated with the red LED).
3. Connect the LED red wire to RL1 (which is associated with the green LED). To do this, you need to
click the
Devices
tab and, from the menu
Relay,
select
Reverse
from the
General tab.
Note:
The green LED corresponds to
Ready to arm
or
Prevent arming
.
Note:
When the red LED is ON, it corresponds to the
arm
function, and when the red LED is OFF, it
corresponds to the
disarm
function. The system cannot be armed or disarmed when the
Ready to arm
green LED is OFF.
The electrical plate, with 22 AWG wires, made of stainless steel is considered as a standard.
Note:
The 3-LED plate must be located near the reader(s) that is(are) designed to arm or disarm the
alarm system. It must be within the secured side of the customer’s premises.
