Necessary steps to avoidance of an early damage of the TFT panel
All TFT panels depend on general different aging processes. To exclude early effects (”uneven picture”, ”image sticking”,
”boundary line”) impairing the qualitative picture representation, special countermeasures are required. In addition to the special
functions (see below) are simple application notes concerning on-time and adjustments.
The following screensaver functions must be switched on at the representation of static pictures:
--
Pixel shifting (min. setting = 4 pixels, factory default setting = Off)
--
Dynamic pixel refresh (at least 1, factory default setting = Off)
--
Soft picture mode (at least 1, factory default setting = Off).
Further application rules:
--
The backlight brightness may be independently of the picture content at 30°C environmental temperature max. 50%, at
25°C environmental temperature max. 75% and at 20°C environmental temperature 100%. With it does not matter
whether the ambient light control is switched on or switched off. The factory default setting is 50%.
--
The device should be switched off or in the standby mode (power mode 0 or 3 by RS232 control) at least 4 hours per day.
--
The max. environmental temperature of +35°C may not be exceeded. An internal temperature sensor monitors the over-
stepping of the limiting value for the switching off of the device and returns the value “out of range” at a status request of
the temperature bit.
The factory defaults shows the best picture quality with an optimal panel protection.
If the panel protection is not used, cannot assert guarantee claims with aging effects of the TFT panel.

the event of intensive “burns”.

The screensaver is switched off.
Pixel shifting
The function moves the entire picture in a certain inter-
val (approx. 2 min) at the adjusted number of pixels.

4 pixels, 8 pixels or 16 pixels.

Off
The “Pixel shifting” is switched off.
Dynamic pixel refreshing
With this function a noise pattern is placed onto the
picture as an offset. Because of that a consistently
strain of all pixels is guaranteed.
The noise pattern causes hardly a negative effect on
the picture quality.
