9- MAINTENANCE
9.1 Backup and Restore
This option allows a complete backup copy to be made of all the unit’s
configuration files: messages, programs, web pages, modes, schedules,
mailbox and system parameters.
It is recommended that a backup copy is made as this enables recovery
of system status or transfer of the exact configuration to another unit.
9.1.1 Backup
To create a backup copy click the
icon which is located on the right hand
extreme of the main toolbar.
Alternatively, when closing the Voice System 5 program, the application
automatically prompts the making of a system backup.
The backup is stored on the uni’t Comapct Flash card.
This operation may require various minutes.
9.1.2 Restore
The unit restores the configuration automatically. For manual operation consult
the installer.
9.2 Signal and Ring Signal Levels Measurement
These utilities allow the measurement of the PBX tone signal frequencies and
ring signals, in order to specify them in the system parameters.
The signal levels correspond to the tones analized by the server when it calls an
extension (engaged or not).
The ring signal levels correspond to the different ring signals analized by the
unit when a call reaches a port.
9.2.1 Signal Levels Graph
On the system´s main screen, click the ports to be used or press
F3
to stop all
ports simultaneously (this will temporarily halt normal operation, for instance
calls will not be answered).
